An extra suitcase, a student’s boxes and a family’s belongings all deserve clear instructions. Start with the pieces you want PORTADOR BLACK to transport and when they can be released.
Count what will actually be sent.
Identify each bag or carton and its approximate weight. Two 23 kg bags total 46 kg; sending one still leaves you carrying 23 kg. This arithmetic example is not an allowance or price. Decide what stays with the traveller before planning the shipment.
Give a useful contents summary.
Describe clothing, books and other belongings honestly. Mention new purchases, gifts, professional equipment, fragility and anything containing batteries or liquid. Commercial goods must not be relabelled as personal effects. Acceptance follows the actual items and mode of transport.
Estimate first. Verify during processing.
You may start with estimated weights and provide dimensions later. Packed weight and size are verified by PORTADOR; bulky luggage may have a higher applicable volumetric weight. The agreed rate and billing basis determine the final charge.
Pack for a separate journey.
A suitcase may need protection or reinforcement for the proposed movement. Tell the team if packing help is needed. Fragile contents need suitable internal support; an outside Fragile label does not replace packing or guarantee damage-free transport.
Discuss essentials and value.
Keep passports, tickets, cash, essential medicine and immediate travel items with you. Declare valuable belongings before acceptance. The BLACK name or a declared value is not blanket insurance, unlimited compensation or an unlimited flat-price suitcase product.
Must I know every dimension to enquire?+
No. Piece counts and approximate weight are a useful start. Packed measurements are needed for processing and the agreed billing basis.
Can I use cartons?+
Describe the actual items and packing. The team assesses the proposed package, route and handling rather than guaranteeing every container.
