A destination wedding can bring delicate garments, several travellers and fixed events together. Start with the actual outfits and bag groups, an authorised organiser and the time each recipient needs them.
Plan outfits by their first usable deadline.
List bridal wear, sherwanis, occasion garments and accessories by the event they are needed for. A fitting or preparation slot may be earlier than the ceremony. Separate the first-event essentials from later bags and give approximate packed size and weight.
Discuss fabric and embellishments.
Tell the team about embroidery, structured garments, delicate fabrics, footwear and cases. The packing plan must address internal movement and contact. Hanging transport, steaming, pressing and garment storage are not automatically included; any such scope needs explicit agreement.
Keep precious accessories separate.
Do not conceal jewellery, cash, valuable watches or precious stones in outfit bags. They require a separate written acceptance assessment and may need a specialist service. A wedding date or sentimental value does not create blanket insurance.
Give every bag an owner and receiver.
Identify which guest or family owns each group and who will release and receive it. Confirm that the hotel or venue permits delivery, with hours and access instructions. A planner copied on a conversation is not PORTADOR appointment confirmation.
Review the return as a new movement instruction.
After the event, contents, count, location and destination may change. Confirm who repacks and releases the pieces. Return transport, waiting and storage are not implied by an outward quote. Fixed events need realistic allowance for processing and disruption.
Can a planner coordinate guest bags?+
Yes, with authority and accurate owner, contents and recipient details for each group. Separate destinations require clear shipment instructions.
Are food, alcohol or décor included with outfits?+
Declare them separately. Event use does not make restricted or commercial items suitable for ordinary personal-baggage transport.
