FILM, PERFORMANCE & EVENT WARDROBES

Costumes and personal event items, properly briefed.

A costume needed for a performance or shoot has a different receiving deadline from a traveller’s spare clothes. PORTADOR BLACK assesses eligible wardrobe and personal-event requirements from a complete item brief.

Identify the exact wardrobe and purpose.

List garment cases, accessories and pieces by owner or production contact, with packed measurements and value. Say whether items are personal belongings, hired costumes, company equipment or stock. Commercial goods must not be described as personal effects to avoid documentation.

Use the call time that matters.

Give the location, wardrobe/preparation time and authorised recipient, not only the public event start. Explain changing venues, access passes and loading hours. An urgent event does not itself confirm same-day availability or a guaranteed deadline.

Declare props and technical components.

Batteries, liquids, aerosols, sharp props, replica weapons, magnets and equipment need specific review. A costume case is not approval for everything inside. Some items may be excluded from BLACK or require a separately compliant specialist route.

Agree care and access responsibilities.

Discuss protective cases, internal packing, lifting and weather exposure at handover. Garment finishing, climate control, on-set staff and equipment assembly are not automatically provided. Venue security or production permission must be arranged by the responsible contact.

Document a return or temporary cross-border journey.

Hired pieces and professional equipment may need return inventories or country-specific documents. Customs and temporary-movement requirements need qualified review before travel. BLACK does not promise carnet eligibility, clearance or recovery of an event’s consequential losses.

Can costumes be assessed separately from industrial cargo?+

Yes, where the items fit the reviewed personal/event wardrobe scope. Equipment, commercial stock and restricted props must be accurately classified.

Can a case contain replica weapons or aerosols?+

Do not assume acceptance. Describe the exact contents before any collection or quote confirmation.
