PORTADOR BLACK / HOTELS & CONCIERGES

HOTELS & CONCIERGES

From the lobby, with everyone’s permission.

A hotel lobby can be a practical meeting point for bags or eligible personal items. PORTADOR BLACK coordinates the proposed handover around the owner’s permission, the property’s procedures and a confirmed receiving plan.

Identify the owner and authorised coordinator.

Name the person whose belongings are moving and who may arrange their release. A concierge can help with the enquiry, but a booking reference alone does not establish ownership or permission. Keep room details, identity documents and private schedules out of public links.

Ask the property to approve the handover.

Confirm a permitted lobby, reception or collection area, its hours and the staff contact if staff will release the pieces. Follow the hotel’s luggage-release checks. BLACK does not assume room entry, access to a luggage store or authority to collect because a guest has checked out.

Make the package ready and identifiable.

List the actual pieces, contents and approximate weights, and confirm they are packed for separate transport. Record relevant condition and packing photographs privately. A luggage tag or decorative gift box does not replace an accurate declaration or suitable packing.

Agree the collection window and releasing person.

PORTADOR reviews the route, access, items and quote before confirming collection. Ensure the authorised contact can answer a question at handover. An earlier enquiry or AWB identifies the record; it does not establish that physical collection has happened.

Plan receipt at the next property.

Confirm that the receiving hotel, resort or accommodation accepts the delivery, with an authorised recipient and receiving hours. Share reservation details only as necessary. A future stay does not create an unattended-drop permission, free storage allowance or continuous custody between visits.

Keep changes and commercial arrangements explicit.

If checkout, property or recipient changes, update the same reference for reassessment. A one-off permitted handover does not make the hotel a BLACK partner or agent. Co-branding, referral terms and any guest-payment handling require separate agreement.

Can reception release my belongings after checkout?+

Only under the owner’s documented authority, the property’s release procedure and PORTADOR’s confirmed plan. Keep a reachable authorised contact available.

Can I send a gift to someone staying at a hotel?+

Ask the property and an authorised receiving contact about receipt. The actual gift, packing, route and timing still require review; a room reservation is not delivery permission.

YOUR BELONGINGS. YOUR PLANS. OUR ATTENTION.

Tell us what matters.
We’ll plan the movement.

Every request starts with an assessment. Availability, price, acceptance and collection are confirmed separately.
