Make the bags part of your travel plan before leaving home. PORTADOR BLACK assesses onward delivery after you arrive in India, so you can decide what stays with you and what travels separately.
Start with the actual bags.
Share your arrival airport, date and local arrival time, onward destination, bag count and approximate weight per bag. Say which pieces you will keep for your next flight. A theoretical excess-weight figure is not enough to identify the items PORTADOR will transport.
Complete arrival formalities first.
Standard airport collection follows applicable immigration, customs and baggage-release formalities. The team agrees a permitted landside meeting point and collection window. A terminal name does not promise baggage-belt access, an airport counter, customs representation or an airline relationship.
Give a tight connection a proper review.
Tell us the onward-flight deadline and any terminal or airport change. A late arrival, delayed bag or queue can alter readiness. Short connections are assessed by the team; sending an enquiry does not reserve a courier or protect a flight connection.
Consider a hotel or home handover.
If you are staying before travelling onward, give the location and the time packed bags can be released. Subject to local availability, the team can assess hotel or home collection. Identify the person authorised to hand over the pieces.
Domestic forwarding and importing are different.
A bag still held by customs or the airline is not ready for ordinary collection. Explain its status before confirmation. For collection outside India, email black@portadorblack.com for a manual international assessment. The online planning form begins with collection in India; overseas-origin pickup is not automatically booked there.
Can I plan from abroad?+
Yes. Start with an international phone number and email. Your actual arrival and onward route are reviewed; a country name does not imply an overseas collection network.
What if my arriving bag is delayed?+
Keep the airline’s missing-baggage report and tell PORTADOR. Collection readiness must be reassessed when the airline releases the bag.
